Jacob Fokkema

Prof. dr. ir. Jacob Fokkema

Emeritus professor. He was made an officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau for his great contributions to scientific education and research (2008). He was the Rector Magnificus of Delft University of technology (2002-2010) and Chairman of Earth and Life Sciences of the Dutch Science Foundation (2010-2017). He was previously PostDoc fellow at Stanford university in USA (1980-1981), visiting professor at Federal University of Bahia in Salvador in Brazil (1987-1988), professor at Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium (1993), a special professor at the Free University of Amsterdam (2001).

Kees Beenakker

Prof. dr. ir. Kees Beenakker

Emeritus professor. He started his professional career at Philips, where in 1982 he took the position of head of the corporate assembly process and equipment development of the Semiconductor Division. In 1987 he resigned and co-founded IC assembly company Eurasem in Nijmegen. In 1990 he was appointed full professor at Delft University of Technology. From 1999 till 2009 he was chairman of the department of Microelectronics and Computer Engineering and from March 2007 till May 2012 he was scientific director of the Delft institute of microsystems and nanoelectronics. From May 2012 till his retirement in 2014 he was director of the TU Delft-Beijing Research Centre in Beijing. In 2014 he co-founded JIACO Instruments.

MA-MBA. ASML Executive Team 97-2007 as Division President Special Applications and 95-97 as first Director Global Investor Relations. 2012 – present: own company FabMax. 2016-2022: Founder and CEO SandGrain B.V. 2023-present: Supervisory Board of SandGrain. SandGrain successfully developed. Other projects are in applied and advanced lithography and manufacturing for Defense Applications. In 2017/18 on request of City of Nijmegen / BCS and NTC successful FS and funding of Chip Integration Technology Center (CITC). This has become a significant R&D organization in Nijmegen to address challenges in advanced packaging and on wafer Heterogeneuous Integration. A rare economist – former financial controller in the Nedlloyd Group – (lost in) technology land since 1995. He thoroughly enjoys the continuous technological and business challenges in high tech, with the intent to do that as long as possible. He has extensive global network in semiconductors and cyber security.
